The Municipality of Druten and contractor Remmits opted for AsphaltX® Twaron aramid fibres: stronger asphalt, less maintenance and a longer service life.

6 km of asphalt reinforced with AsphaltX® in the binder course by Rusch Asfalt, commissioned by BUHA. Dosage of 500 g/tonne, with no change to the mix design.

The road in Witmarsum, constructed in 2018, is subjected to heavy agricultural traffic. Thanks to the use of aramid fibers, cracking and rutting are minimized, contributing to a longer service life of the asphalt.
