Venedijk Kampen
Innovative asphalt reinforcement with AsphaltX® fibres on the Venedijk in Kampen, carried out by Schagen Infra on behalf of the Municipality of Kampen. 200 kg of fibres processed in 400 tonnes of HMA asphalt.
The project in detail.
For the Venedijk in Kampen, Schagen Infra, commissioned by the Municipality of Kampen, opted for innovative asphalt reinforcement with AsphaltX® fibres. 200 kg of fibres were processed into 400 tonnes of HMA asphalt, making the road surface more resistant to cracking and rutting.
The fibres form a three-dimensional reinforcement within the asphalt mixture and contribute to a longer service life, less maintenance and more efficient use of raw materials. The result is a strong, sustainable and future-proof road structure with lower maintenance costs and a smaller environmental impact.
