Why Basalt Chopped?
Basalt Chopped consists of chopped basalt fibre strands (chopped strands) for concrete and mortar that reduce cracking and increase durability. The strands are 300 tex with 12 µm filaments and a standard cut length of 4 mm (other lengths on request); they disperse homogeneously through the mix and are easy to dose at 0.6 to 1.0 kg/m³. Made from natural volcanic rock, basalt is a sustainable and recyclable material: lightweight, easy to process and a good fit for sustainable projects.
